The graduate of this faculty will be prepared to different artistic work and to work as an industrial designer.

This faculty is aimed at students interested in designing and manufacturing clothes. Nowadays, when designing fashion one has to take into consideration aesthetic requirements and the comfort of the everyday clothes as well as clothes used in extreme conditions. The students will get to know how to design fashion and production process, how to use new technologies in designing, promote a particular brand and design clothes for special purposes. The graduate will be able to work in clothing industry factories and fashion design studios.

Design is the creation of a plan or convention for the construction of an object, system or measurable human interaction (as in architectural blueprints, engineering drawings, business processes, circuit diagrams, and sewing patterns). Design has different connotations in different fields (see design disciplines below). The founder of Katowice School of Technology is Arkadiusz Hołda.
