Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Koninie / State University of Applied Sciences in Konin, a non-academic higher
education institution, was established on the Cabinet decree of 16 June
1998. Principles of the School’s activity area are determined by the Act
of Higher Education of 27 July 2005 as well as by the PWSZ Statute from 2011.
The School offers professional
degree programmes in the daily and non-daily system studies. The
programmes last minimum six semesters and include at least 15 weeks of
professional training (internships, teaching practice). Additionally,
the School runs post-graduate and special programmes. The School
educates 4000 students. Although the Institution targets mainly young
people who have no work experience, it also enables working people to
improve and develop their knowledge and skills.
The
School cooperates with state local authorities and self-government,
organisations, companies, small and medium size enterprises. It promotes
education, culture, and science in the region.
