1990
A group of people from Częstochowa Technical University and the Regional Trade Chamber of NSZZ 'Solidarność' (the Independent and Self-governing Trade Union 'Solidarity') Board initiated the establishment
of Częstochowa School of Managers. The school was given a part of Częstochowa Technical University
office building as its seat.

1991
The training for the candidates to become the supervisory board members and managers of trade law
companies was commenced.

1992
The Post-Secondary Managerial School (CSM) was established. The entrepreneurial courses for the unemployed were organised. The school took part in a contest concerning the professional training for adults organised
by the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. As a result the school was included in the Ministry's programme completion.

1993
A contract with the American National-Louis University (Evanston/USA) was signed. The University began
its activity as the CSM affiliate supervised by Professor F. Widlak and Professor J. Szopa.

1994
The Managerial Secondary School was established. The school was inspected by Carol Bellamy, the General Manager of the American Peace Corps and Jon Darrah, the director of the Peace Corps in Poland. A conference entitled 'Labour Market Shaping - Schools and Employers' Common Goal' was organised in co-operation with
the American Peace Corps. The school was incorporated in the satellite educational system organised by: PARR, the European Committee for Space and Amstrong Elektronics.

1995
On the basis of the Ministry of National Education's decision Czestochowa University of Management was established. Its initiator was Czestochowa School of Managers and the honorary members were National-Louis University from the USA, the City Council of Czestochowa and the Częstochowa Voivod - the chief officer
of the regional administration. Andrzej Dziewiątkowski, the headmaster of Częstochowa School of Managers
since its establishment became the Rector of Czestochowa University of Management.

1996
Within the framework of TEMPUS-PHARE, the European Union programme, SMICO programme was commenced. Its aim was to establish International Relations Office in Czestochowa University of Management
in co-operation with Italian and Dutch universities.

1997
The International Relations Office commenced its activity in Czestochowa University of Management. In June
the University of Management organised a conference entitled 'International Co-operation and the Local and Regional Development' within the European Union programme in the Częstochowa Municipal Office. In September the University of Management organised a conference concerning 'Management of the Company Development' within the series of staff integration aimed at maximum profit making. The conference took place in Bukowina Tatrzańska. The Publishing House was established at Czestochowa University of Management. It published among others 'Academic Notes of the University of Management', 'International Co-operation and Local and Regional Development' and 'Management of the Company Development', conference materials as well as 'Marketing - Marketing Research, Instruments and Management', the book by Professor Janusz Klisiński. In 1997
the University's website was published for the first time.

1998
The University applied to the Minister of National Education for the authorisation of conducting the master supplementary studies. Two conferences were organised in Bukowina Tatrzańska: 'Conditions of Organisation Development' in May and 'Management of Company Development with Special Emphasis on Czestochowa University of Management Development' in October.

1999
Czestochowa University of Management gained the Ministry of National Education's acceptance of establishing 'Information Technology', a new field of studies. The Inauguration of Academic Year 1999/2000 ended with
a speech entitled 'Management in the workplace' given by prof. dr hab. Jerzy Lewandowski.

2000
The University was given a conditional accreditation of the bachelor degree studies in management and marketing by the Association of Management Education "FORUM". It was also given accreditation of the bachelor degree studies by Universita degli Studi di Perugia. The University entered National System of Services and received
a certificate and accreditation from the Ministry of Economy for high quality of provided services. The Centre
for European Studies and Documentation was established at Czestochowa University of Management.
The University signed an agreement with Universita degli Studi di Perugia and Universite d'Evry concerning a pilot program of conferring the European Doctoral Degree in the range of 'Internationalization of Small and Medium-sized Entreprises'.
The honorary guest at the Inauguration of Academic Year 2000/2001 was Mr Tadeusz Donocik,
the undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Economy, who gave a speech on 'Promotion of Polish Economy
as an Important Tool for Increasing the Competitiveness of Firms'.

2001
The seventh academic year was commenced with opening a new university building in the city centre in ul. 1 Maja 40. The Inauguration of Academic Year 2001/2002 took place in the new building and the inauguration speech
was given by prof. zw. dr hab. Jerzy Dietel on 'An Entrepreneur and a Manager in the Light of Market Globalization'. The greatest success of Czestochowa University of Management was gaining the acceptance
of conducting master degree studies in management and marketing. Czestochowa University of Management
also gained acceptance of introducing 'Philology', a new field of studies.
On 1st October, following the decision of Accrediting Comission of Association of Management Education "FORUM", the University gained an unconditional accreditation for conducting bachelor degree studies
in management and marketing.

2002
On 19th January 2002 the Chapter of Laurels granted Czestochowa University of Management a Golden Laurel
for Skills and Competences in the category of institutions and organisations supporting the development of market and educational economy for the market needs. On 8th October 2002, on the basis of the Minister of National Education and Sport's decision the University gained the acceptance of conducting professional studies in 'Nursing'. In 2002 the Association called 'Czestochowa Technological Park' was appointed.
The honorary guest at the Inauguration of Academic Year 2002/2003 was prof. dr hab. Jerzy Jaskiernia,
who gave a speech on "The Parliament's Role in the Process of European Integration".
In December 2002 a new University building was bought in order to enable the University's development.

2003
On 2nd January 2003, in the frames of Ministry of Labour and Social Policy programme - professional activation
of graduates called 'The First Job', the Careers Service was established at Czestochowa University of Management. On the basis of the Centre for Postgraduate Education of Nurses and Midwives' decision of 8th April 2003 the University gained acceptance of conducting qualifying courses in the field of family nursing. On 19th December 2003 the Polish Chamber of Commerce granted the title of Fair Play Entreprise to the University. Czestochowa University of Management as the only polish educational institution became the member of the European Consortium for Distance Learning established in the frames of european programme MINERVA
(project entitled Convergence). The University initiated the action called "Computer - it's so easy!", the aim
of which was to enable the access to modern computer techniques for teachers and students from primary
schools in the countries in the Częstochowa region.

2004
On the basis of the Minister of National Education and Sport's decision Czestochowa University of Management gained acceptance of conducting professional fields of studies in 'Management and Production Engineering'
and 'Pedagogy'. The University also gained acceptance of conducting qualifying courses in the field of operational nursing for nurses and midwives and in the field of organization and management for nurses and midwives.
In August 2004 the Ministery of Economy and Labour and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development gave Czestochowa University of Management accreditation in the National System of Services for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises. Accreditation concerned advisory, informative and training sevices. Moreover, in October
the University gained accreditation for Nursing.

2005
On 28th January 2005 on the basis of the Minister of Health's decision no. 5/2005 Czestochowa University
of Management was given accreditation for Nursing studies. The University was given a grant on bachelor degree studies for nurses in the frames of PHARE PL2002/000-580.02.07.03 - II edition.
In October 2005 the University was awarded the Minister for Economy and Labour's certificate proving
a registration entry of Czestochowa University of Management to the employment agency under no. 2089/1a.
The University started carrying out the following projects:
- 'Computer and Language Trainings as an Opportunity to Increase Professional Qualifications' co-funded
by European Union from European Social Fund sources and by Government budget in the frames of Integrated Operational Programme for Regional Development, action 2.1. The project was supervised by Voivodeship Labour Office in Katowice.
- 'Young Entrepreneurs - Increasing Chances for Self-employment' co-funded by European Union from European Social Fund sources and by Government budget in the frames of action 2.5 Promotion of Enterprise of Integrated Operational Programme for Regional Development.
- EUROMOBIL 2, international programme carried out in the frames of SOCRATES/ LINGUA2 programme. Czestochowa University of Management was a Partner who prepared polish version of EUROMOBIL2. Euromobil promotes students mobility in Europe by disseminating interactive multimedia language learning,
CD information programmes and on websites. Programme serves for self-studying and is to prepare students for studying abroad and for dealing with everyday situations during their stay abroad. The target groups are students who would like to study in Czech Republic, Germany, Great Britain, France, Hungary, Poland, Portugal,
Romania and Finland.

2006
The University started to carry out 'Euronurse - Bachelor degree studies for nurses' co-funded by European Union from European Social Fund sources and by Government budget in the frames of Integrated Operational Programme for Regional Development, action 2.1. The project was supervised by Voivodeship Labour Office in Katowice.

2007
In 2007 the University continued work on carrying out two projects 'Euronurse - Bachelor Degree Studies
for Nurses' and 'Young Entrepreneurs - Increasing Chances for Self-employment'.
The realization of the project 'Young Entrepreneurs - Increasing Chances for Self-employment' was finished
with the conference of 29.05.2007 entitled 'The Region's Economic Development through Self-employment'. Thanks to the project 35 enterprises were established and 29 contracts for providing one-time investment
subsidy at the total amount of 498.166,20 zł were signed.
In the frames of the project mentioned above two seminars were organized for secondary school students. The subject of the seminar was 'Be Your Own Boss - Starting and Running Business Activity'. The seminars were
held on 24-25 October 2006 and 7-8 February 2007. Above 600 participants took part in them.

2008
In March the realization of 'Euronurse - Bachelor Degree Studies for Nurses' project co-funded by European Union from European Social Fund sources and by Government budget in the frames of Integrated Operational Programme for Regional Development action 2.1 Skills development connected with regional job market needs
and possibilities of regional continuing education was finished.
In July the University made five applications for co-funding projects realization in Voivodeship Labour Office
in Katowice. The projects were entitled:

- The Aim - To Become Better
- To Be Able To Do More
- Take Your Chance
- Qualification Courses for Nurses and Midwives
- 50 with Success.

The projects were to be carried out in the frames of Human Capital Operational Programme, action 8.1.1 Supporting professional qualifications development and consulting for enterprises.
In September Czestochowa University of Management made an application for co-funding 'Euroengineer of the future' project co-funded in the frames of competition no. 2/POKL/4.1.1./2008, subaction 4.1.1. 'Strengthening
the University's didactic potential' - the application was not co-funded.
In October realization of two projects was commenced:

1. 'Professional Subjects Teacher' ranked at the 5th place on the Ministry of National Education list
2. 'Bachelor Degree Studies for Nurses and Midwives' - in the frames of a won tender, organized by the Nurses and Midwives Department of the Ministry of Health in the frames of subaction 2.3.2 of Human Capital
Operational Programme.

2009
In 2009 Czestochowa University of Management commenced realization of a project entitled 'Qualification courses for nurses and midwives', co-funded by European Union from European Social Fund in the frames of Human Capital Operational Programme.
Czestochowa University of Management was 23rd (8 places higher than in 2008) among non-public master universities in X all-Poland ranking of higher education institutions prepared by 'Perspektywy' and 'Rzeczpospolita' newspapers. 'Euromobil' project, tha partner of which has been Czestochowa University of Management gained a silver award for its innovation and creativity during a conference in Prague. At the Inauguration of Academic Year 2009/2010 a lot of eminent guests took part. As every year, people who rendered services to the University were given memorial swords by the Rector of University, dr inż. Andrzej Dziewištkowski. They were:
- Andrzej Czuma, the founder of Movement for Defense of Human and Civic Rights, the chairman of a Parliamentary Investigative Commission, the Minister of Justice, a famous opposition activist and a political prisoner in the People's Republic of Poland
- Prof. Giuseppe Calzoni, the Rector od Universita degli Studi di Perugia, an old partner university of Czestochowa University of Management.
Czestochowa University of Management was a collaborator in two conferences organized by the Main Board of All-Poland Association of the Workplace Safety Staff: 'The rescuing system in an enterprise - requirements and organizing rules' and 'Workplace Safety in constructional work'.
